THE PROJECT
Represent your campus,
play as a team.
Academy Rivals is a student League of Legends tournament project in which each team represents its campus. Our shared brief was to create brand guidelines and Twitch assets, keeping the identity recognisable across broadcast formats. As art director, I produced the 2024 guidelines defining the logo, colours, typography and usage rules.
THE LOGO
One signature,
different formats.
The Academy Rivals name sits in contrasting blocks alongside a symbol that can also stand alone. The guidelines define horizontal and vertical variations, colour combinations and clear space, keeping the logo consistent across applications.
THE VISUAL WORLD
Three colours,
one language.
Bright turquoise is paired with deep black and a slightly greyed white. Contrast structures the compositions and gives prominence to both name and symbol. A pattern built from fragments of the symbol extends the identity, with guidelines specifying transformations to avoid.

TYPOGRAPHY
Confident headings,
readable text.
Rama Gothic M Bold, a narrow and distinctive typeface, carries the headings. Brother 1816 Regular supports the body text. The guidelines define their roles and relationship to establish a clear hierarchy in Academy Rivals’ communications.
APPLICATIONS
One identity,
every screen.
The final sections specify the placement, dimensions and margins of the logo and symbol. They cover vertical formats for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, social media posts and 16:9 video.
